Challenge:
This academic project required me to design a packaging for a company when it comes to any word or concept of my choice while also making a logo that represents that word as abstract as possible. The requirements were as follows:
• create an abstract logo for a fake company based off your chosen word
• mockup at least two different colorations of the company logo
• design an original styled package (standard boxes, bags, or cylinders)
Solution:
I ended up going with a word / concept such as "automation". I started by researching about computer wares, who else sells hardware, and what their brand looks like. Companies such as Fry's electronics, HP, and Dell inspired my design. I found that most company brands want to make you feel as if their products are highly complex or rather "alien" so I had that in mind when creating my concept and logo design. Below you'll find the end results of the brand design as well as the packaging.
