
I contributed to the digital game adaptation of the manga: The Seventh Kingdom, designed to immerse players in the rich lore of the series. The digital space serves as both an interactive game and an expansion to the story, guiding players through key locations, giving players hints about the manga, and remembrance of pivotal moments from the series. The environments you see below are The Forest, Science Lab, and Crystal Cavern: which act as seperate areas in game.


When we brought The Seventh Kingdom into game form, one of the most exciting parts was adapting the story’s legendary Seven Comrades into game characters. Each one comes with their own style and personality as well as different regions they hail from. Assets were made using softwares such as: Aseprite, Procreate, and Adobe Photoshop.

The Plainlands serve as a refreshing contrast to the darker, more tense areas of the game. Here, the environment opens up into wide stretches of lush greenery, dotted with tall grass, flowers, and unique endemic wildlife that gives the area a sense of vibrancy and life. This section also introduces a scavenger hunt mechanic: scattered throughout the Plainlands are hidden objects, relics, and environmental clues that players need to search for. The result is a slower-paced, exploratory challenge where players trade sneaking for curiosity, encouraging them to really interact with the environment and pay attention to details.

The Crystal Cave section plays more so like dungeon and a sneaking mission. As players enter, they quickly realize it’s not just about navigating the maze of crystal walls and hidden paths — ghostly figures patrol the pathways. These ghost drift silently, and running into one resets your progress, so the tension comes from timing your moves and staying out of sight. The narrow corridors of the cave make it feel like a maze, and the reflective crystal walls sometimes trick your sense of direction, turning it into a puzzle of both patience and memory. Combined with the eerie broken statues looming inside, the whole area pushes players to think strategically, blending stealth and puzzle-solving into one of the later parts of the game.



Lady Kitsune’s Laboratory is where science and sorcery collide. Piled high with glowing crystals, bubbling flasks, and scattered research notes, the lab feels half-mad scientist’s workshop, half-arcane ritual space. Strange experiments hum on every surface — from suspended test subjects in containment tubes to mysterious colored gems sparking with energy. It’s equal parts brilliant innovation and dangerous chaos, perfectly reflecting Lady Kitsune’s obsession with pushing the limits of knowledge.
Every corner hints at a new discovery, whether it’s the strange contraptions pumping glowing liquids through glass tubes or the stacks of unfinished projects waiting for a spark of inspiration. Stepping inside feels less like entering a lab and more like crossing into a place where the laws of nature are constantly being rewritten.
